We have procured a new powerplant for the EMS10 car. Rather than go down the same road as last year with a Gixxer 600, we went with a KTM 525 ATV engine. This engine only weighs around 50 to 60 pounds, which is about 100 lbs lighter than the Gixxer engine used last year.

Our goal this year is all about weight savings. We definitely had the heaviest car in competition last year and it still performed great due to our experienced drivers. Plans for a turbo are in the making so hopefully whatever power is lost due to the restrictor will be negated.
